Introductory information

As an official practice partner of the Duale Hochschule Gera-Eisenach (DHGE), we want to train our own junior staff in the future and are now offering the opportunity to complete a dual study program in the field of practical or technical computer science in our innovative AI software company. The theoretical study phases will take place at the DHGE location in Gera. During the practical semesters, you will be assigned to our company locations in Saalburg-Ebersdorf or Jena and will be supported by experienced mentors. You will develop visionary AI software for autonomous driving and flying in an agile and interdisciplinary team and thus actively shape the future of mobility.

Your Role

  • Implement and integrate amazing machine learning solutions for our autonomous systems, including tasks like object detection, semantic segmentation, behavioral cloning or reinforcement learning in close collaboration to the university

  • Cutting Edge Research in one of the following applied Robotics domains: Sensor-Fusion, SLAM, Perception, Behavioral Cloning, Motion Planning and Prediction, Environmental Modelling

  • Research in one of the following tasks: Domain Adaptation, Self-Supervised Learning, Multiview-Multimodal Systems, Explainable Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Working with Sparse Data (Lidar, Radar)

  • Concrete Working on Camera Depth and Ultrasound Depth for Parking Application Optimization and Integration

  • Work with self-flying, self-driving and full-autonomous solutions

At a minimum we’d like you to have

  • High school diploma or technical college entrance qualification

  • Interest in scientific subjects

  • Motivation, creativity and team spirit

  • Confident handling of computers and modern software

  • Good knowledge of German and English

  • Reliability, sense of responsibility and perseverance

  • Experience with one or more programming languages, including but not limited to: C/C++, Python

It’s preferred if you have

  • Worked with ROS or similar

  • Experience with real-time systems

  • Experience in an agile project environment (SCRUM)

  • Software Continuous Integration Experience
